Michelle Tyre – The first person to purchase the book, Divine Inspirations. She is standing in front of the home in which the author and her family lived for many years. This home was built in the early 1940’s by the author’s husband and is mentioned in the book. Michele lives just a few houses down the street from this home. Ellen with Raye Bobell. Raye was good friends with the author and her family for many years. They were neighbors. Raye remembers watching Ann & Don build their home in Renchville, Illinois. She was excited to receive a book.

Ellen with her very “special” friend, Lori Fahnestock. Lori and Ellen have been friends for over 40 years! Lori was especially excited to receive a book as she knew the author and remembers talking to Ann about many of her writings, which often times were inspirational to her. Ellen with Brigitte Grant. Brigitte is the Vice-President of Development for the Peoria Children’s Home. "Divine Inspirations" is a new American classic book of poetry. Its name says it all. It has been my experience that when my customers flip through the pages, they just happen to go to a poem that touches their lives and hearts. For me, I read it one morning while drinking my coffee. I finished a whole pot and the book makes me laugh, think and cry tears of joy and sadness. I feel like I know the author. Her life story in the back of the book is what a true American story should be. Hard work, love and living, and having strong faith. I have found that once this book is picked up that it is like holding a special journal that we have been given permission to enjoy. It is very intimate and thought provoking, and just about the nicest thing that a daughter could do to honor her mother. I know it will be a hit!
